Short-stem type (80-95 cm); high – resistant to lodging (4.7 points), matures on 1-2 days earlier than standard. The mass of 1000 seeds – 42-48 g. The variety Dumbravitsa is characterised by the high field resistance to fungus diseases. The protein content – 13.8%, gluten – 26-27%. The genetic potential of variety is 6.5 t/ha.

It belongs to forest-steppe ecological group of intensive type. Short-stem, the length of straw is 80-90 cm; it is high-resistant to lodging. Winter and drought resistance is on the level of standard. The vegetative period of the variety is on 1-2 days longer than for standard. The mass of 1000 seeds is 43-48 g. By quality it is in the group of valuable wheats. The genetic potential is 6.5-7.0 t/ha.

Middle-grown. With higher resistance to lodging than standard. Winter and drought resistance is the same as variety Odesskaia 51. The mass of 1000 grains is 37-44 g. The percentage of Kernel and grain yield is higher than for the variety Odesskaia 51. The seed yield of the variety is 5.2-6.6 t/ha.

Due to the length of vegetative period variety belongs to the early-ripening group. The content of gluten is middle (24-26%), of protein – 12.3%. The seed is coarse-grained. The mass of 1000 seeds is 37.0-44.0 g. The potential crop yield is 7.6-7.9 t/ha. It is zoned in Moldova since 2002.

It belongs to the forest-steppe ecological group of intensive type. It is the variety of short-stemed type (90-100 cm), the resistance to shattering is more than 2 numbers in comparison with standard. It is middle-early type. The content of gluten is 25%, protein – 13.6%. The grain is big, the mass of 1000 seeds is varied in dependence with conditions of growing and is 44-54 g. The potential crop yield is 7,5 t/ha. It is zoned in Moldova since 2002.

The variety is middle-grown (87-104 cm) with high resistance to shatering (4.3 numbers). The degree of frost resistance of variety is on the standard level, the drought resistance is high. Due to the length of vegetative period it belong to the middle-ripening group. The content of gluten and albumin is on the standard level – 27.7% and 13.9%. The seed is middle-grained. The mass of 1000 seeds is varied in the limits 36-46 g. It has good field resistance to fungi diseases. The potential crop yield is 6,5-6,9 t/ha. It is zoned in Moldova since 2003.

SPRING BARLEY

Variety Ionel (nutans)

The plants have length 70 cm). The variety is middle-ripening with high resistance to lodging and shattering. The mass of 1000 seeds – 47,9 g. The variety is resistant to diseases, also to drought on the standard level. The maximum crop yield is 5.3 t/ha. The weight of 1 l of grain is more than 619 g/l. It is recommended for using in feed production and brewing.

Variety Moldavskii 18 (pallydum)

The distinctive peculiarity is high winter resistance. The stem is of height 90-110 cm. Strong. The lodging resistance is middle. High drought resis-tance. It grows rapidly in the spring period. The protein content in grain – 10.6-12.5%. The mass of 1000 seeds is 41-47 g. The genetic potential is 7.0 t/ha.

The height of plants and vegetation period are on the level of variety Iarna. The lodging resis-tance is higher than for standard. The winter resistance is high, drought resistance is middle. The mass of 1000 seeds – 35-49 g. The genetic potential is 8.0 t/ha. The protein content is 9.2-13.1%.

Vegetation period is 256-277 days. The height of plants is 105-135 cm. The lodging resistance is higher than for variety Iarna. The winter resistance is high, drought resistance is middle. Resistance to the powdery mildew and helminthosporiosis are high. The mass of 1000 seeds – 38-48 g, protein content in grain – 9.3-11.6%. The variety can be used in brewing production. The genetic potential is 6.0-6.5 t/ha.

Variety Sonor (nutans)

The plants are of middle height (71 cm), resistant to lodging. The mass of 1000 seeds – 48.0-58.0 g, protein content – 10.1-12.9%, starch – 40.4-52.2%. Variety is resistant to diseases and drought. It has good ecological plasticity. Genetic potential – 4.5-5.0 t/ha. It is recommended for feed and brewing production.
